Embossing, punching, guilloché - three generations of "makers" work together using these handcrafted techniques and high-tech from the Pforzheim region. The results of almost 10 years of creative research by students, lecturers and scholarship holders show how historical knowledge can be preserved and reinterpreted.

The PF Revisited project brings together high-tech from the Pforzheim region and manufacturing techniques in an exhibition. Three generations of "makers" work hand in hand on historical presses and 3D printers. The results of almost 10 years of creative research by students, lecturers and scholarship holders provide examples of strategies for reinterpreting and preserving knowledge that is threatened with extinction. Pressing, embossing and guilloché can also be experienced during the exhibition at EMMA - Kreativzentrum Pforzheim. "PF Revisited" is a project of the Jewellery course at Pforzheim University and part of the overall "Manufactured Jewellery Design" project of the Stiftung Deutsches Technikmuseum Berlin (SDTB), which has been recognised as an example of good practice by the German UNESCO Commission. In addition to the cooperation partner SDTB, the EMMA - Kreativzentrum Pforzheim and the working group "Schmuck verbindet" are further partners, with the support of C. Hafner.
