Social media can not only be used for self-promotion, but also for professional networking. We invite you to learn more about the strategic benefits of social media. The content of the workshop will be as follows:
I. OVERVIEW OF PLATFORMSWhat tools and platforms are there and what functions do they have? In this first part, I will provide participants with an overview of the various social media platforms, their functions and the possibilities for self-promotion and developing a professional network. Using case studies, I will show what successful use of social media looks like and what networking options are available.
II. STRATEGIC THINKINGHow do I use social media skilfully to network? In individual and group work, participants will work out how they can present themselves and their skills on social media. I will also show them methods on how to create a realistic plan to build a network online and benefit from this network professionally. Participants should have access to pen and paper.
The webinar will be organised in an interactive format consisting of a keynote speech and discussions/question and answer sessions.
