Becoming visible on Google: search engine optimisation (SEO)

The word "photographer" alone is entered into Google an average of 45,000 times a month. But how do some photographers manage to convert this existing demand into orders and draw attention to themselves among the multitude of offers online? One way is to increase their visibility on Google with the help of search engine optimisation. Unlike social media, search engine optimisation is not about one-off viral hits, but about a steady rise in Google's search results.

At the Creative After Work on Wednesday, 16 November at 7.00 pm at EMMA - Kreativzentrum Pforzheim, online marketing freelancer Holger Kurtz will give an overview of the basics of search engine optimisation and present a self-programmed tool that will be available to listeners afterwards.

Holger Kurtz, M. Ahas been a freelance digital culture manager since 2021 and supports cultural organisations and companies in the digitalisation of their marketing. He has already founded the specialised blog kulturdata.de on this topic. He previously worked as an online marketing manager for concert promoters in DACH and studied cultural and music management at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich, where he now works as a lecturer.
