Immaterial - The memory of a disintegrating place. A former garden in Karlsruhe that had to be cleared due to the burden of war in the ground. The exhibition immaterial presents an examination of this dying place.
The focus is on memories that have no place in official archives. How can processes of decay and change become tangible again? To this end, students Kosmas Dinh, Franziska Lyon, Johanna Heilig and Justus Lietzke question the material itself: What can the patina of an old chimney pipe or the fracture on a burnt beam reveal to us? Through installation, video works and a virtual tour through the central work of the project in the "Stattbad", the processes of the place can be experienced again.
