Creative After Work
Time: 7 pm
Location: EMMA Creative Centre Pforzheim, Emma-Jaeger-Straße 20, 75175 Pforzheim

Topic: Failed? Back to Start!

It's not easy to fail in Germany: failure is often still seen as a flaw. Critics are therefore calling for a change in mindset, a "culture of failure". Founders should be allowed to fail in order to learn from it and dare to make a new start. This is where the so-called "Fuck up Nights" come in, a trend that originated in Mexico and has also found favour in Germany: In front of a large audience, failed company founders talk about what went wrong for them in order to take away the fear of failure and encourage others.

The first Creative After Work of the year will also focus on dealing constructively with failure. Start-up consultant Sandra Volz will explore the question of why most start-ups fail and explain how they can deal with their failure and make a fresh start. Afterwards, Rose-Marie Riedl, co-founder of a major start-up, will tell a personal story of failure and a new beginning.

Sandra Volz is the founder and managing director of Fashion Coaching Consulting (2002) and FCC Karrierefabrik (2010). She passes on her knowledge from many years of experience in the fields of product management and purchasing to young founders and creative people as a start-up consultant and lecturer at various universities.

Rose-Marie Riedl is the founder of "123 Werbeagentur" (2016), a full-service agency for marketing and communication in Wiernsheim and a business economist with 25 years of experience in marketing, communication and PR.
