A call for help from bars and cultural venues or an appeal for support for a live streaming concert series - during the coronavirus crisis, many companies are using crowdfunding platforms to get in touch with supporters. While the focus of crowdfunding used to be more on finding financing for new business models, it is now increasingly about saving existing companies. At Creative After Work, crowdfunding expert Nisha Munzig will explain what crowdfunding is and what opportunities it offers for creative companies in the current situation. She will discuss donation- and pre-sale-based crowdfunding, present selected aid campaigns from crowdfunding platforms and give tips on how to organise successful campaigns.

Nisha Munzig is currently working at the Generator Startup Centre at Stuttgart Media University for the EXIST V project and advises students on the topic of crowdfunding. Nisha Munzig also offers coaching, workshops, seminars and other knowledge transfer on the topic of crowdfunding via #hallocrowdfunding. She previously studied Management (MA) at the University of Hohenheim and completed her training to become a certified crowdfunding specialist in early 2019.

The Creative After Work will take place online via zoom. After the speaker's presentation, you will have the opportunity to ask questions.
