Verena Seidt and Annika Troll are two young goldsmiths who founded the makou jewerly label together in 2020 during their training in Pforzheim. Within just one year, they were able to build up their customer base to such an extent that they now receive daily orders via their online shop. Makou doesn't rely on traditional sales channels such as galleries or trade fairs, but instead breaks new ground: for example, Verena Seit and Annika Troll regularly organise (virtual) jewellery parties based on the principle of Tupperware or Thermomix parties - with exclusive customer groups, gifts and discounts for participants and hosts and a personal approach to customers. At Creative After Work, Verena Seidt and Annika Troll will explain how they use social media to build their community, give tips on optimising the online shop and present direct sales via (virtual) jewellery parties.
Makou jewellery is a young start-up from Baden-Württemberg, founded by Verena Seidt and Annika Troll. The two goldsmiths met during their training at the goldsmith school with watchmaking school in Pforzheim and founded makou in 2020 with the aim of producing handmade jewellery in Pforzheim. The first collection was created in the workshop at EMMA - Kreativzentrum Pforzheim. They now produce orders on a daily basis, which reach them via their own online shop and social media channels.
