Opening of the exhibition "LUXUS! - Positions between opulence and asceticism" and the Alfons Kern Tower

What is luxury today? What is luxury in saturated markets - for those who already have everything? And for those at the other end of the market chain? How do designers manage to transform everyday objects into must-have products?
To mark Pforzheim's "Goldstadt 250" anniversary, Pforzheim University, the Kunstverein Pforzheim, the Pforzheim Cultural Office and EMMA - Kreativzentrum Pforzheim are presenting the exhibition "LUXUS!" from 19 May to 25 June 2017 and a symposium on 23 and 24 June, which will focus on a wide range of positions between opulence and asceticism.

Please noteThe opening begins at 7 p.m. in the auditorium of the Faculty of Design, Holzgartenstraße 36, after which the exhibition can be viewed in the Alfons Kern Tower.
