EMMA:
EMMA - Creative Centre Pforzheim - located on the banks of the River Enz and in close proximity to the Faculty of Design at Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences - is the central platform for creative professionals from Pforzheim and the region. Students, start-ups, agencies and young companies have access to workshop and coworking workspaces, offices and studios on an area of 3,000m². The current tenants range from jewellery and fashion designers to graphic designers, filmmakers, photographers, web programmers and visual artists. The event area on the ground floor offers space for exhibitions, lectures, conferences and workshops. Regular events such as the "Creative After Work" network meeting, the "Schöne Bescherung" design market, the summer festival and the Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences exhibition make the creative centre a lively place for the creative industry and the people of Pforzheim.
Emma Jaeger:
Emma Franziska Kiehnle was born in Pforzheim on 19 November 1830, the daughter of a jewellery manufacturer. In 1856 she marries the export trader Konrad Josef Jaeger and moves with him to Hamburg. Her husband died in 1862 and Emma Jaeger returned to Pforzheim as a wealthy, childless widow. Her father's considerable fortune also passes to Emma Jaeger after his death. Emma Jaeger dies on 4 June 1900. She donated her fortune of around 1.1 million gold marks to several foundations, in particular the Volksbadefonds, which made it possible to build the Emma Jaeger Baths.

H
History:
The old Emma-Jaeger-Bad looks back on a long history: in 1911, the former Pforzheim municipal swimming pool at Emma-Jaeger-Straße 20 opened its doors for the first time. The generous benefactor Emma Jaeger donated 500,000 gold marks to the city around 100 years ago - more than two thirds of the construction sum. Even back then, the baths, located directly on the River Enz, were an impressive example of Art Nouveau architecture. Today, the municipal swimming pool ("Emma-Jaeger-Bad") is housed in a neighbouring building. The namesake and founder of the historic baths lives on in the name of the creative centre.
