Coming from Stuttgart
If you are coming from Stuttgart via the A8 motorway, you can reach EMMA in two ways:
- Take the exit Ost: B10, follow Eutinger Straße, turn onto Östliche Karl-Friedrich-Straße at a cemetery and then turn left after a modern school building into Theaterstraße, where you can also park. The EMMA is the building with the tower directly on the Enz.
- Take the exit Mitte/Nord: B294 and follow this via Bauschlotter Straße and Heinrich-Wieland-Allee. After crossing a bridge, turn left onto Schlossberg before the railway station. From there, turn left into Östliche Karl-Friedrich-Straße and immediately right again into Theaterstraße. Then see above!
Coming from Karlsruhe
Even if you are coming to Pforzheim from Karlsruhe via the A8 motorway, you have two options:
- Take the exit West: B10, follow Wilferdinger Straße, Untere Wilferdinger Straße, Berliner Straße, Goethestraße, Zerrennerstraße, which turns into Zehnthofstraße, and then turn right into Theaterstraße.
- Take the B 294 exit and follow this via Bauschlotter Straße and Heinrich-Wieland-Allee. After crossing a bridge, turn left onto Schlossberg before the railway station. From there, turn left into Östliche Karl-Friedrich-Straße and immediately right again into Theaterstraße.
Car parks
You will find parking spaces on the corner of Theaterstraße and Altstädter Kirchenweg right next to EMMA. The car parks are subject to a charge.
Travelling by train
There are regular IC, IRE, RE and S-Bahn train connections to Pforzheim from both Stuttgart and Karlsruhe. From the railway station, walk down the Schlossberg, followed by Deimlingstraße, and pass two large crossroads. Just before you cross the River Enz, turn left into Emma-Jaeger-Straße and walk along the river. The EMMA is about 200 metres further along on the left-hand side.
